thanks for listing the murders so far this year. i find it strange that our mayor's "top priority" is keeping plainfield clean (according to the flyer i received in the post this week) and yet we have unsolved murders.
didn't she run an ungrammatical rant of a commercial on cable tv, blaming al mcwilliams for not doing enough about crime? and her new focus is tidiness? makes me cringe. that and the little balloons she uses to dot her i's.
thanks for allowing me to vent.
As a resident of Woodland Avenue, I wanted to bring to your attention a recent DPW work in progress.
Less than a month, likely two weeks ago, the street lines were repainted to make the road double solid line agian so people didn't pass each other. Now just today, they were back out in action, only this time making it a passing zone on Woodland in front of Woodland School heading east towards Watchung Ave.
Does this not seem like a problem? First off, the streets were just painted, so why now instead of two weeks ago when they were painted? Secondly, a passing zone within a school zone? Sounds like good planning until a child is hit by a passing car!
Just seems the city makes one step forward, two steps backwards.
Sorry, I didn't know any other way to contact you than through the comment bar.
