There are two go-to events taking place tomorrow, Friday, June 2.

King's Daughters Day School Centennial Gala










One of New Jersey's pre-eminent early childhood education centers, Plainfield's own King's Daughters Day School, celebrates 100 years of service with a gala to be held at the Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung.

Co-chairs of the event are Assemblyman Jerry Green and Union County College President Dr. Thomas H. Brown.

One of the goals of the Gala is to raise funds to establish a long-awaited scholarship fund. A centennial album, detailing the organization's history and with messages from alumni and supporters will be distributed at the event.

Plainfield Chamber of Commerce 5th Annual Gala









The Chamber of Commerce's 5th Annual Gala will take place at the Plainfield County Club on Friday, June 2.

Special awards will include: the President's Award - Union County College; the Community Distinction Award - Suburban Jewelers; Entrepeneur of the Year - Alpha Title Agency; the Chamber Service Award - Truck Tech. Honorees were chosen by and voted on by members of the Chamber. Each will receive an engraved plaque.
