Ouija says Y-E-S

*

Though the chief appointer may not have made her will clear to the Clerk or the Council yet -- at least as reported by Bernice Wednesday -- PT's Ouija board still says
Y-E-S.

Y-E-S, that A. Raiford Daniels, whom Assemblyman Green refers to as 'Ray' is indeed reporting for work at City Hall.

And has been since Tuesday, as PT previously reported.

Fear not, however, CONFUSION STILL REIGNS.

Is Mr. Daniels to be the Acting Director of Finance & Administration or the Acting City Administrator? Or perhaps both?

The Administration has yet to make that clear to the world, though Mr. Daniels has been introduced to visitors to his digs -- former City Administrator Carlton McGee's office -- as the Acting City Administrator.

All this notwithstanding mayoral mentor Green's statement in Wednesday's Plain Talker that "he is seeking a qualified interim city administrator with help from county officials." Would that be County DEMOCRATIC officials? Or County ELECTED officials?

With an appointment as important as this, one would expect a trumpet blast of certainty and publicity, photo opps, introductions and r
ésumés -- BEFORE, or at least AT THE SAME TIME AS, the person started work.

Wouldn't one?
