The closing event of this year's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration is at 7 PM this evening at the Washington Community School, 427 Darrow Avenue.**
The event features a performance by the renowned interpreters of Flamenco dancing, the Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre. The performance will be opened by TradiciĆ³n, featuring music of Ecuador.
I have known Eva Lucena, Alborada's high-energy director for many years -- since I worked at the Plainfield Public Library. The troupe's work is flashy, accomplished and dramatic. It is a treat.
A FREE treat. Brought to you by the Plainfield Cultural & Heritage Commission, the Plainfield Latino Coordinating Committee and the Plainfield Public Schools.
Come on out and enjoy.

**NOTE: Parking lot available on the Spooner Avenue side of the building. If you are EARLY (doors open at 6:30), please do not block access to the further parking lot extension -- if there is no curb in front of you, you will be parking in the drive and blocking others. Thanks!
